Meet Dr Laura Fitzharris
Equine Sports Medicine Analytics is led by Dr Laura Fitzharris, a specialist equine sports medicine veterinarian with advanced training in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and performance analysis.
Combining specialist veterinary expertise with advanced wearable technology interpretation, Laura works closely with trainers, riders, owners, and veterinary professionals to support performance, recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term athletic health in racehorses and performance horses.
With experience across leading equine hospitals, elite training environments, research, and high-performance sport, her approach combines evidence-based medicine, objective analysis, and practical performance management tailored to the individual horse and training programme.
Qualifications & Expertise
Dr Laura Fitzharris is a specialist equine sports medicine veterinarian, researcher, and performance analyst with advanced training in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
She holds specialist qualifications through the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) and the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ECVSMR), is recognised as an RCVS Specialist and one of only two certified members of the International College of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) in Australia.
Her background includes specialist residency training, PhD research in equine respiratory physiology, experience within leading equine hospitals, and work with elite racehorses and high-performance sport horses.
Alongside clinical work, Laura remains actively involved in research, education, and professional development, with a continued focus on advancing our understanding of equine athletes and improving standards of care.
